Sorry man i thought you were just kidding. In the military they get discharged for a few mins. every 4-6 years. I thought you were just playing like that.

Again Sorry. I hope it all works out for you.

Well, see, the good thing is, you can collect unemployment.

Live off Uncle Sam for a few months. Keep your wheeling trip in July and have fun.

Look at the bright side, your unemployment comes at a great time of the year, SUMMER! :)

MM is right, I was almost envious at my coworker for getting fired. :)

I was telling someone I may go back to school to be a teacher just so I get summers off.. lol

Sorry to hear about that Dustin. Maybe this was a good thing in a way. Maybe there something better on the horizon that you would have passed up if you were employed.

If I were you, I'd try & find something as soon as you can. Going a whole year on unemployment can put you in a hole come income tax time.

Take it easy on yourself & have a few Bud Lights on me. :)

Early Retirement is awsome I did it for a year. Even took some classes and ended up getting a better job. GO play some golf and lay by the pool. With some Senoritas and margaritas. Sounds too good I am leaving work!! I am driving to Texas hahaha.

and see, irony at its best...
ive always lived by the knowledge that things could always be phenominally worse than they are, the main reason im in a great mood 97% of the time.
today i forgot that....
almost went to jail today, in sweeny texas. i had 2 sleepin pills my aunt had given me a long time ago in my wallet, soft white pills, they got smashed by my butt at some point and i never cleaned out the white powder from it, i also keep a razor blade in my wallet(a few in my truck as well) bc they are handy to have, not a good combination. so my wallet feel out my pocket in the elementary school parking lot... it was found and given to the isd police.... who then looked thru my wallet. so when we tracked it down, the moment i knew the police had it i thought, dammit i shoulda cleaned that out a long time ago. the cop tells me we have a serious problem, as i was in possession of a controlled substance on school property, that my friends is a felony... at that moment i realized that all that ranting i did earlier was uncalled for, and in admiration of my honesty.... he let me go with a criminal tresspassing thing, meaning if i ever go onto any campus in the district i go to jail.
but im safe at home in houston.... what a day

You have my sympathys also. It's probobly happened to all of us at some point in our lives. I agree with BL1X, I'd try a stint in the military, it's a meal ticket that follows you the rest of your life. You're certainly still young enough. It also alters the way you think about things and how you lead your life. We had several technicians quit last week who couldn't handle the constant pressure any more, I think they might be hiring soon, ever thought of living in Minnesota?
