Just picked up my S today. This thing is awesome. Wish I could have gotten the fog lights but oh well.
Question for you all, Is there a engine cover that I should have under the hood? It looks like there are screws where something should be put on above the intake, but I'm not sure? If someone could take a pic of under their hood it would be awesome to compare. I'll take a pic and post mine tomorrow when its lighter outside.

Welcome aboard.
If you have a '05+ then yes it should have an engine cover. If it has an aftermarket intake the front cover and intake tube may have been removed as well. I have heard of some new ones not having the engine cover. Post a pic and I'll be able to tell.

how do I tell if I have a 1st or 2nd Gen? I checked the door sticker and it says made 3/08. I will take a pic of the engine bay tomorrow and post if I am allowed to post pics.

You have a second generation.
1st Gen is 2000-2004, and 2nd Gen is 2005 and newer.
