yea, im pretty sure all you need is the reciever and a mathing-class ball

You also need the wire harness if you don't already have one. It's got a 7 pin plug (for trailer with breaks). You might then need a 7pin to 4pin adapter to hook up a trailer that doesn't have breaks.

The Shrock rear bumper comes with a hidden wire harness mount.

Here is the harness:

Here is the 7 to 4 pin adapter:

Receiver:

Receiver Ball:

Note: You can find the receiver and ball at the local auto parts store much cheaper. You can also find the 7 to 4 pin adapter at the local auto parts store (maybe even walmart). You will want to get the harness from Nissan though as it's got the correct plugs to just plug right into the new X.

Thankyou!

I also found this for 19 bucks at northern.com

Is the location of the hole where the pin goes through the same on all the receivers?

The on you posted looks like its in a different location that the pic I have.

And the pic Jim sent me looks like it's too short to receive the lock pin...

That one would work fine, but it might stick out a bit further. The pin location on the receiver would help with things like a truck that has a rear mounted spare.

The only real specs you have to worry about is 2" receiver and at least 5000lb rating and 500lb tongue weight.

If you are going to be towing a lot or a heavy trailer, you might want to look into getting some Timbren rear bump stops.

EDIT: BTW, the receiver hole goes all the way through, so the length of the shaft on the receiver isn't an issue.

Oh, is the hole where the receiver goes into, hollow all the way through the bumper? so it doesnt matter where the pin is? I was under the impression that it was'nt.....

That is right. If you stand at the back of the bumper and look into the receiver opening you will see your spare tire.

So, he who has the powers of a deity. We should probably break this thread up so that if someone is looking for 05-06 hitch question it's not mixed in with a wheeling thread. ;)
