Well as you can imagine, that stuff wa a night mare to get out! So I removed the seats, shampooed the carpet, pulled up the carpet to remove the centemater of muck that had settled there. Taht was nasty stuff. Now I had wet carpet, and did not want it to smell. So I was talking to one of my buds and he told me about "Damp Rid". My carpet was dry and had NO smell at all in 1.5 days!
So if you get your carpet nice and wet, use this stuff!
Note: You MUST have your carpet propped up and place this product under it. Also doesn't hurt to have some baking soda in there as well!
Drake 06-24-2008, 08:56 PM Holy hell dude! Fall in a rut did ya? lol
That's why I don't play in pools anymore. Never know what lies beneath. I've seen too many 3 foot deep ruts and holes full of roofing tacks to test those things out anymore.
But I'll definitely keep that carpet stuff in mind. I have been known to test the xterras "buoyancy" from time to time. hahaha

Anthony 06-25-2008, 12:58 AM did you check your ECU?
soccerbrace 06-25-2008, 02:40 AM and your alternator?
JaXTerra 06-25-2008, 08:38 AM Ok, a 07 fronty 4x4 with lockers pulled me out, my ecu was fine, altinator fine, however my airbag sensor: TOASTED! That will be moved along with the ecu. BTW the air bag sensor is located for gen 1s under the armrest on the tranny hump! That was a great idea putting it there! You can see the whole event at SXFC.org in pics from the past thread.

Ehsan 06-25-2008, 10:00 AM i messaged that guy with the big rig in st pete he hasnt replied yet.. do u kno him persoanlly
JaXTerra 06-25-2008, 10:08 AM Yea, he does't log on much. He will get back to you though.
Ehsan 06-25-2008, 10:30 AM sweet his rig looks soooooooo nice
JaXTerra 06-26-2008, 10:57 AM :moonwalk-big:Ok, I just had one of my techs at work look at my airbag code. It seems that if your seat belt tensioner relay under the seat gets wet, it will send an error code to your comp telling it the air bag should beturned off. Thank goodness. I know that sensor is about a $900 part new! All clear now!
Damn! I never got stuck like that even overseas! Good show!
I think we can call that "off road?"
cbzdel 06-28-2008, 11:41 PM that is NO good :(
