Nice man! I love the looks of the snorkel, with the volant air does your engine sound a little throatier?
Ricer-X 06-15-2008, 07:27 PM nice work man, snorkels are great, i love mine, but mines made of pvc!
Drake 06-15-2008, 08:02 PM Sweet! Man that is a kick a$$ rig. Both of those X's are.
gixxersixxerman 06-15-2008, 08:14 PM OH MY GOD....... You cut a hole in your fender LOL....... And from the looks of It you would drown before your x would ingest some water huh..... I don't know much about off roaring but don't you have to water proof like everything before you start forgeing rivers and crap..... Like silicone the distributer they plug wires and run hoses to the tranny vents and stuff like that also all the connectors and stuff right .... Hhmmnm just wondering
silverbullet 06-15-2008, 08:17 PM Damn man that looks great. how much did that setup run you ballpark? I wanna upgrade to the Volant and a snorkel down the road and I'm trying to get an idea of price

Ehsan 06-16-2008, 08:51 AM nevermind i got it
Anthony 06-16-2008, 11:55 AM Thanks for all the comments! Yeah, it sounds nice, you can really hear the intake now.
As far as driving through deep water, I don't plan to be fording any rivers or anything, but at least I won't hydrolock if I do!
brandonpriceco 06-16-2008, 12:33 PM Hey Anthony, I was looking at the link in your sig and saw this in your mod list "Darlington UB Skidderz"... Do they still make these and are they as useful as I imagine they would be???
Anthony 06-16-2008, 12:50 PM Unfortunately, Darlington is out of business as far as I know...
They are a very useful mod, so hopefully someone out there will pick up where darlington left off.
They replace the lower leafspring mount (which includes the lower shock mount), and allow the bottom of the springs to skid over rocks and such rather than get hung up.
They protect the Ubolts and the shock mounts.
json3904 06-16-2008, 02:41 PM i believe Chris has found another company that makes this mod... here is the link he sent me....http://www.4x4wire.com/news/darlington/UBSKIDDERZ/
edit::::
it says that it is made by darlington as well so maby they didn't go out of business after all

That is the same company (Darlington Offroad), but the link is dated June 03, 2000. About 7 years before they went out of business last year. ;)
Joe Darlington did make a couple of them last year for some people on XF , who called him to ask (in December or January I think), but that was the last I heard of any being made. If you want to call him, I think I might have his number somewhere.
json3904 06-16-2008, 03:04 PM yeah chris asked me if i ever heard of them and he sent me the link...
cbzdel 06-16-2008, 03:25 PM I was thinking about buying some but I guess I am SOL lol... I bet they are not hard to fab up.. now that I am starting to get FAB contacts :)
