I would like to make a few things clear to all members. Please realize that the root of this is legality. Club Xterra does not want any legal trouble, nor do we want legal trouble for you. With that, please, be intelligent when posting.

Absolutely no racist, sexist, or harassing comments will be tolerated.

DO NOT post that you are drinking underage!!!!!! It is illegal and this is a public website.

Also understand that photos that contain:

Nudity,
Illegal substance usage
drinking underage,
racist innuendos,
sexist innuendos,
and driving in an illegal manner (specifically on private property, disobeying trail rules, and not following the "tread lightly" theme)

will not be tolerated.

This will be strictly adhered to and I expect that our awesome member base will follow these parameters.

I am not trying to turn this place into a place that is full of rules. I want you to know that, but CX is off the hook, and I wanna keep it that way.

For those who do not know, "Tread lightly" is a motto that says "respect nature and respect the trails"

Included in this,

is going on the intended trail, (do not make your own trail)
not ruining the trail purposefully,(burning out is not cool)
Clean the trail up when you can (pick up trash while on the trail)
Clear the path from mishaps (ie, fallen trees in the middle of the trail)
Do not alter the trail(if you have to stack some rocks, you have to put them back)

We want to keep these trails open. Trails are closing because people are running over "no vehicles allowed" signs, they are camping, and trashing the place, Driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol. People do not realize that while they are breaking rules, they are ruining if for those who follow the rules. Please do not be the bad apple that spoils the bunch.

Support "Tread Lightly"

Thank you!

x2 lets try to keep it clean on here because if you talk about your "illegal activities" no matter what it is and people agree/endorse/encourage what your saying it make our club as a whole look bad.. We all occasional do things that are against the law, take speeding, its illegal but we do it.. We just need to keep it to ourselves and not share it with the world because new members may see these posts and be discouraged because its not their type of "crowd"...

Well put Chris.

Everyone has their "vices" but remember this is a club dedicated to xterras and not a social club. Members come here for help with their vehicles, trips and just comaraderie (sp?) among other xterra owners.

If you want to boast of parties, habits and illicit/taboo topics, lets save that stuff for myspace. It's not that we are against any of it or anyone for doing it. We aren't parents/guardians and we don't try to be thread police but all members should consider their post content and their word choices because you have to consider the array of people that visit this site and the impression it gives when they read some of our off-color posts.

I'm no saint by any means which is why I choose not to cast stones or point fingers but it's simply a matter of respect to your fellow club members.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had that come to mind right after reading that.

I'm not into a lot of offroading as there isn't much around here, but be aware of where you are and respect it. I like to go mudding but that doesn't mean i drive into some farmers field without permission and tear up his field and his livelihood.

Not just directed toward you, but to everyone here.

This site is a great resource for info, and it's also alot of fun. It should be and can be both! But there has been a trend here (and on other sites as well) of people seeming to forget that everything on the forum is viewable by the public. If we try to stick to the guidelines James posted, it will help keep up the image of this community.

Just because you broke a rule that didn't exist doesn't mean this is directed towards you. If it was, they would have PM'd you instead of making it public. This is for everyone, not just you so don't ever take it that way unless one of them tells you otherwise. There's too many of us who tend to get carried away and sometimes need reminding of where we are for you to hog all the blame for yourself. :D

these rules have been broken many times by many users including by myself... the staff just wants to try to clean up our image, the club is really starting to grow over the past few months and I think they just want us to grow in the right direction..
