This thing is the BEAST... it seriouslly will tear down and run over trees while everone else follows the path it clears lol.

I'd rather it see it sitting there with a flat tire, rather than running down trees making its own trails, causing more off-road areas to be made off-limits areas.

Those are fun rigs but they are basically one-dimensional with the exception of the zuke. That's why I like my X. Although I avoid mud as much as I can, I can hit it when I want to but I can also tackle the rocks as well. Gimme rock gardens and hillclimbs and I'll be one happy kid.

theonenonlykyler
06-11-2008, 04:52 PM
well you see theirs a farmer that lives down their that owns this huge field thats right along the river... and theirs lots of brush and hills around it
and he never plants anything lol and he doesnt care lol but someone has to make pathways into the brush lol..
but i love the X

and its only 2wd lol.. and when its muddy i just dont slow down.. and if i do get stuck look what i have to pull me out lol

Drake
06-11-2008, 04:55 PM
Yeah I think you've got some pretty capable tow rigs on hand there. :mocking:

theonenonlykyler
06-11-2008, 04:59 PM
lol yep. the only thing that sucks out their is when it rains too much.. like a tropical storm or hurricane.. it floods and you have to use boats to go like a mile up haha.. its funny cause you drive to like were the water meets the road and on one side theirs a bunch of cars and on the other theirs boats.. which we use to get back and forth to the house.. lol but all the houses are on stilts so its all good.

06-11-2008, 05:02 PM
that would just seem so weird to see and its like a yearly event for them lol

theonenonlykyler
06-11-2008, 05:04 PM
yep lol.. well not like yearly but id say every 2-3 years lol
but thats what you get for living on the river lol..

cbzdel
06-11-2008, 05:17 PM
at least their houses are built for it.... I would love to see how they design one (that is the engineering side of me talking, sorry lol)

I dunno if you guys are familiar with slamdxterra or not but he builds custom suspensions and his first project became his user name, it was an orange 1st gen Xterra that layed on the ground. A later project of his was an 8" lifted Armada which is the biggest lift I've ever seen on a Mada. The truck was built strictly for show and was recently sold but here's a couple pics:

....and it's off subject but for anyone who's not familiar with it, here's his previous X:

I'll bet Jason Burtman can find one for you:

http://www.burtmanindustries.com/index.php

What is the "filler panel"??? You can get an entire OEM Frontier grille for $100-$150.

Personally, I thought that grille was OEM on the 2000-2001 X and he just put a Billet Insert on it.

silverbullet
06-12-2008, 11:01 AM
Unless he cut out the center and filled it with the billet grille and paint matched the plastic and bondoed the plastics to the body just below the headlights. But with the chrome it is probably the frontier grill cause the X's never had chrome.

Chris, make sure you post some pics of that mod when you do it and maybe a how to? I'd like to see that.

Pops
06-12-2008, 11:10 AM
Ahhhh, gotcha!!! I didn't realize the X's wasn't chrome.

here is a pic of an frontier without the grill, you can see the "filler panel" hanging in between where the grill and the bumper should be..
http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/12/web/2304000-2304999/2304892_55_full.jpg

notice the Xterra grill has this piece amlost built in to it..

Yea, I'll find more on the X.

Woody - It's Slamdxterra's Mada and he's got a gallery on it over on CA:

Chris - Here's the part you're looking for. It's part #6 and I think it's called an "Apron Panel" for $80-$90.

thanks for the pic pops!! I was looking over on courtest nissan and they were no help lol.. I will look into this site, I really dont want to be forced to buy it new because its so expensive but you gotta do what you gotta do..

Maybe someone on Club Frontier would want to trade grills :)

Pops

If yours is Black then I'd bet someone on CF will want to trade. Titan and Armada guys are always trading grilles because one wants to "Blackout" while the other wants to "Bling".

well my X is a beat up gray kinda color lol... I am gonna post up over there and see if anything happens :)

Some of those first pics of that X are from Drop Zone. I could swear he shaved the handles on that thing though. I do the club logos for some of the guys in IV Ever Low.

:rocker-big:I must not remember about the handles, it was quite the crazy party as always, lol. (Thanks Magical minis!!!):rocker-big:
