Well this girl im talking to wants me to go camping with her soon. Its in the brandon area of florida.. its not like the woods, its semi-camping cuz u walk a few and they have bathrooms and showers,

so i was just wondering what are some of the basic things to take to a camp tripp i wont like...THIS is my first time going camping LOL :lutscher-big:

things i take camping.....

tent
air mattress
small grill
food
drinks
beer
lights for at night
can you have a campfire????
if so take fire starter.. LOL
also somthing i always forget is a radio so you dont have to drain the batt on the X,...... im missing alot of stuff but you get my point....

yea..check this out.. I have a cap in my car. i know that it holds power but i have left my x on for a long time with the radio and it still turns on.. the volts dont drop below 12. idk how that 1 farad cap does it...

dont do that with the radio, cuz the one time you go out and run the radio for a while with no one around, your battery will drain, thats how life goes
bring a radio with some batteries

flashlight, latern
extra batteries for both
ice chest

if its hot you may want a battery powered fan for at nite inthe tent bc it gets hot
if you are gonna go walking trails and shit bring some powerbars or protien bars
lots of water
if its a state or nat'l park bring your own firewood bc its illegal to collect firewood in the park
if its not in the woods there wont be any to collect anywayz
something to cook food on if you are cooking, grill or whatever, charcoal for it
bring more than one lighter

if you were going on a wheeling camping trip i could write a whole essay about shit to bring, lol

stike anywhere matches and a decent size pocket knife are always in my camping bag. along with some other stuff that the guys above named

if you have a cap i don't suggest you running yo radio without the motor running cause you will drain the cap and before it will work right you have to drain all the power and hook it back up.... which is a pain in tha ass...

You're all missing one very key necessity especially in the south...

Something else that I found useful. At first it seemed a little "yuppyish" but the tent lights. Like this one http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4767725 I don't have this one but this actually looks better, I think the fan would really help in the humid south.

I've never been camping where there's a shower LOL. In fact I've never heard of a place with a shower, only bathrooms if even that. They've only got rocky mountain showers where I camp... Ice cold Snow Melt Baby!!!

at the off road park that dustin and myself camp at there is showers.. LOL

I'm originally from Colorado and I never saw showers either, just the creek. The first time I went camping here in North Carolina I kinda laughed that there was one but with all the humidity I have to say it is actually really nice to be able to shower off before crawling into the tent, especially if you were hiking during the day and working up a sweat.

One more important thing if you don't want to hurt the next morning....SUNBLOCK

I have also never heard of camping that is drive in.. Usually I have to walk a minimum of 5 miles to find a place to stick my tent lol

Mini stove
fuel for stove
water purifier
mini lantern/flashlight

strike anywhere and tornado matches
multi tool
water bottle
clothes for estimated weather
first aid kit
compass and map in case i wanna wonder'

i know there is alot i am missing but i keep all my camping gear in the same spot making it easy to pack :)

extra set of clothes
extra pair of shoes
trash bags
towels
paper towels
paper plates
plastic cups
plasticware

remember: take only pictures, leave only footprints

and dont poopoo where people walk!

You guys are so complicated. This is all you need. Tent, sleeping bag, Xterra and some extra clothes. Then you go to the boardwalk (NJ Shore) for food, drinks, and entertainment. Just got back today and had a blast.

Dude its awesome. If you ever heard if Coney Island then its just like that. it has rides games extertainment food bars. Wildwood is a town in NJ along the ocean and the boardwalk is exactly what it is. Long and wide sidewalk made of wood planks. Google it and you'll see.

You really need to come to Colorado.... we dont put up camp until its almost 10,000 feet and everyone needs 4Lo to get to the camp site.

I cant believe noone posted this......... TOILET PAPER.... even if they have bathrooms, it would suck to go use one and its out of stock lol, and i like to bring those camper wipes.... you can get them at bass pro shops, there really just unscented baby wipes so those work to.... just in case they dont have showers or anything you can still wipe off

How about the military, they camp all the time especially if you are unmounted. Lots o' fun. You get to carry a weeks worth of food, water, and ammo on your back then when you get to your patrol base (a big circle, everyone facing out which usually is down in the nastiest part of a draw so you aren't easily stumbled upon) you can't sleep until the priorities of work are complete because sleep is the last one. Then once you get sleep cycle you pray that you don't get blown out by arty sims and have to start all over after humping it another 4K to a new patrol base. I love camping in the military. The only way to go.

NO im not a baby daddy lol..member we had this discusiion when donatello was having trouble.i met a girl who has a baby, and meant to mean that she doesnt need antoher and i dont need one rightn now as much as i want to lol..
