Brett89 06-06-2008, 03:43 PM Those rims look awesome, very cool. Nice to see some street Xs around here too! Are you going to black out the rest of it?
cbzdel 06-06-2008, 04:18 PM Looks nice.. I have never seen wheels like that before... But it looks like pimped out military wheels to me, for some strange reason lol..
punkrockdrummerx 06-06-2008, 04:55 PM I love the look of the Rockstars!!! I definitally say you black out the rest of it. Definitally do the plastic in black with Krylon Fusion. That would look totally sweet!!!
Dizzy55 06-06-2008, 04:57 PM Yeah i am planning to get the Tail lights headlights and side markers done in the next week or so. The tint is on back order! Then in the next month or so bars, roof rack and brake drums will be painted matte black. I was talking to a body guy that said not to paint the bumpers the plastic will not hold paint well. After that's done then i am going to go inside and start doing work there. Nothing over the top, i am a simple and clean kinda guy.
Yeah thanks for the compliment on the rims. They do have a military look to them. They manager at the rims shop had a 3500 mega cab ram blacked out with my rims but had 40 inch toyo tires on it. That thing looked like a tank!
Drake 06-06-2008, 05:43 PM I'll be honest. I'm not a fan of 20+ rims in most anyway but I have to say that you are the exception. That looks really good bro. Very pimp indeed.
cbzdel 06-06-2008, 05:50 PM Kyle (punkrocker) posted up pics of his Krylon Fusion paint and his is holding up very well even after 2 years!!
Drake 06-06-2008, 06:00 PM Fusion is what I used on mine as well. It looks awesome but the rocks haven't been very friendly to it. Then I hit a friggin' box spring mattress on a trail that was buried in brush (F***ing litterbugs) and it took a lot of it off of my rear bumper. But overall especially if you're not offroading, it's inexpensive and looks very good.
Check my thread called "Back in Black" and you can see what I used. The satin black finish looks really good IMO. Not too glossy but not flat either.

Drake that's the look i am looking for. I guess the body shop guy was thinking i wanted top paint it to match the gloss black. That looks great. Next time i make a trip to the store i will pick that up and paint my bumpers. I have a question for you. The pic you have of your X's front torn down. How did you get the headlights apart? At least the gray bezels around the lights off? Thanks for the help.

I think it's that star in the center that gives it the military look. Pretty cool though!
soccerbrace 06-07-2008, 04:35 AM When I first joined, and even to this day, I have a really hard time accepting anything other than lifting the X.
But, I am coming around, and learning to "let it go" When I let it go, I am able to accept. They look good man! Since I am guessing that you do not wheel, I think that painting it will be fine. The paint will hold up fine if you are just driving on the street.
aznboihoy03 06-11-2008, 10:59 PM dude those are so f*ckin sick! i see those around town on the lifted trucks all the time. kinda rare to see an xterra lifted over here though. last week actually, i saw a lifted armada with M/T's at walmart almost creamed myself, lol.
Shaynesovceo 09-22-2010, 08:55 AM NICE X what are the dimensions on the rims HOW wide are they and what tire size did you go with ?? IS THERE ANY RUBBING??
GlamisDunesStar 09-22-2010, 09:18 AM Nice Rockstars... Those are awesome. The backspacing on them for an X is a lot though... we had those on our Silverado, they are really popular here in San Diego!
jmoney1990 11-15-2010, 08:25 PM I love rockstars man! Where I'm from i could never put those on my X I'm getting into the wheeling scene but when I get my new tires I've been contemplating mounting them on my stock rims and getting some good street tires what are the dimensions of your rims? im thinking about doing 20 monsters i couldnt do 22s I'm not baller enough haha
