Seriously though... living in Bakersfield, CA, working in Santa Clarita.

Just got my 2001 Xterra. I was faithful/loyal to my '90 Chevy Suburban. 223,000 miles and still going strong. Love that ride... but gas was just killing me. My mother-in-law took over payments on another daughter's Saturn, when she moved out of country, so she decided to sell her Xterra. I wasn't interested at first, as its 4x2, but when she offered it to my wife and me for $4000 I couldn't pass.

I loved my 'burb, its the best car/truck I've ever owned. Built like a tank, stands up to anything I dished out. However, I've heard some really good things about the Xterra and its longevity. Hope I purchased another rock solid vehicle.

Welcome to the club!

I know how you must have loved the Suburban. I had a 94 Full sized Bronco for 10 years. It was also a tank and I drove it till it died. The gas was also killer - I can only imagine what it was for you...

The X so far has been an excellent replacement.

Anyways, we have a friendly crew here with lots of experts on the X, so come back often!

I thought I stole my X. I paid a "hair" more then you, but you got a hell of a deal. How many miles?

118,000 (high average for 5 y/o California car)

Straight, clean body. No rips/tears in the interior. Still running strong. I've been told by a few people that I should be able to put another 100,000 or more, without any problems (other than normal wear and tear).
