How do you like those TSL's? I'm looking into a set for myself hopefully by Thanksgiving or so. Haven't decide on which ones I want. The TSL's, SSR's and the TSL SX's. And still toying with the Yoko M/T's idea.
benwallballs 08-11-2008, 06:17 PM hey what site or where did you get those set of 4 lights up top? i want those soo sososos bad
Drake 08-11-2008, 06:25 PM Those are PIAA's if I'm not mistaken. I know Shrockworks sells them as an option with their bumper and I'm sure you can find them at the usual parts sites.

Drake 03-31-2009, 07:38 AM Nice! What's your plans for closing up the back? Small tailgate and bikini top? I wonder if the tops off the Isuzu Amigo would work on that.
Keyz18 03-31-2009, 08:52 AM again...damn
alpine spirit 03-31-2009, 11:06 AM Now your having too much fun with the Sawzall... Im jealous ;).
Alex Topousis 03-31-2009, 11:26 AM Nice! What's your plans for closing up the back? Small tailgate and bikini top? I wonder if the tops off the Isuzu Amigo would work on that.
I dont think an amigo would be wide enough. I will probably get canvas done eventually but my whole interior is bedlined so I am not too worried about water. I may just cut the rear hatch and weld it in there although I am flirting with the idea of making a tailgate out of tube.
No Pipe 03-31-2009, 12:38 PM And the fun part, jeff conner made an appearance out of his bat cave.

Alex Topousis 04-01-2009, 01:26 PM I caved in a decided to pinch the rear. I have only done the driver's side so far but I pulled it in about 3.5inches. here are the pictures so far.

Alex Topousis 04-30-2009, 10:56 AM Here are some crappy cell phone pictures. There is obviously more work to do. There is alot more tube work that is going to happen in the near future. The truck will get an exo but i will probably start that around november.

alpine spirit 05-04-2009, 08:39 AM That tube work coming down the back will be nice!!
Alex Topousis 06-11-2009, 07:58 PM Here's an update. I got almost all the tubing done in the front except the winch support and shock hoops. I still need to do: rear brakes, brake lines, mount the steering box, front driveshaft and the np205 doubler but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t280/atopousis/SAS%20revolution/DSCN1922.jpg
The cage needs to go about 1.5" back and 2 inches up in the back still. I should clear the tires but we'll see. I may need to revisit the back tube.
HOLY SNICKERS BATMAN! That looks crazy Alex very nice work on that tubing though, one of the better jobs I have seen for sure! Looks like one of the decepticons!

Bluegrassen 06-12-2009, 04:31 PM This is the most unique build I've seen in a while. Very nice work dude. You need to send some pictures and specs in to Petersons or some other off road mag. Maybe they might do a story and we could get some Xterra love going.
Boat tailed in back, and a bow up front.
Very sweet.
You do some nice work Mr.

TimRich 10-01-2009, 08:06 AM SICK!!! That is one bad ass xterra!!! Are you going to close off the rear in front of the cage you built in the back?
Drake 10-01-2009, 09:05 AM Glad to see you didn't have to do that much trimming to fit those. Most of us run into problems fitting anything larger than the OEM size. It's probably time to remove the dealer window sticker though and be careful... some of your mods may void your warranty. ;)
Excellent job bro! Looks wicked!
Steeze 10-01-2009, 09:25 AM Bitchin!
TN4x4Xterra 10-01-2009, 12:45 PM Looks good! What happened to the cage that was around the body? Was that removable?

Alex Topousis 11-08-2009, 11:27 AM Well here is an update. I got the np205 in. made shifters for it. I now have a clutch pedal and that is bled which was a huge pain in the ass. I took the rear doors off because as Ryan says I am going to keep cutting away until its not an xterra anymore. the rear doors will be back on eventually but I need to cut away so much for the tires it will be easier this way

is that the splined end of an axle shaft that you used for shifter knobs?
lol
mac11 11-08-2009, 02:34 PM thats disgusting.
i love it.
Alex Topousis 11-08-2009, 06:16 PM is that the splined end of an axle shaft that you used for shifter knobs?

Yes sir.

J Everett 11-08-2009, 08:37 PM So, maybe I'm not seeing something, but what's the T-handle shifter over the tail of the transmission (or is it the transfer case?) for? Is it connected to anything? And is that NP205 replacing the stock T/C or do you have it doubled? Cause I noticed the stock T/C shifter is still there?

the np205 is behind the tx-10. all the tx-10 does now is reduces the ratio. the np205 is what the driveshafts are connected to. the shifter in the middle is for a parking brake that will be on the rear outpu of the np205. so basically now i will be able to have power only going to the front axle and lock the rear axle with the brake. this allows you to turn really tight on the trail and is known as a cutting brake
bigfoot1080 11-08-2009, 09:08 PM Coming along awesome!
TimRich 11-09-2009, 08:06 AM Absolutly Sick!
are you going to be covering the front end with dimpled sheet or anything? or completely exposed?
what are the plans for the rest of the cage? exo or internal? any doors or completely open?
Drake 11-09-2009, 09:12 AM That is just friggin' wicked man! I can't wait until we start seeing some action shots of this beast.

I'm going to put either aluminum or stainless steel in the gaps of the front tubing. I will be working on an exo this winter. I am going to make all the doors half doors and eventually get canvas for them. Its easier to work on the truck with out them on. especially since they come off so easily
greentennx 11-09-2009, 10:11 AM Man that thing is a beast! Can not wait to see pic's of it in action.

I bought it when I was 16 and have had it for 7 years now so Its all paid off. I wheeled the hell out of it for a few years and got it to the point where everything needed replaced so I just sased it. Ididnt expect to take it this far in the beginning but I have no regrets.
Roadwarrior 05-05-2010, 09:25 PM props to you on a crazy build. cant wait to see what you do next

There aren't really any vehicle laws out here so yeah. I can take better pics of the doors however there isn't much to them as far as a write up. Just cut where you want and weld it shut
