jman2000 05-02-2008, 09:26 AM cool tires!
soccerbrace 05-02-2008, 09:29 AM Thanks bro! I moved this to the correct section.
Good to know what needs to be trimmed. When I SAS mine, I might move the axle forward.

This is the back part that i need to trim because i rub when i flex or even try to go over a rather big bump...so any ideas how to trim without taking too much off? I would like to keep the plastic so i dont want to trim it to make it look like crap

What is a SAS??
punkrockdrummerx 05-02-2008, 07:50 PM SAS= Solid Axle Swap
MG...thanks for the pics. I am planning on getting 35"s this summer.
Ricer-X 05-02-2008, 08:21 PM werd, converting the independent front suspension to a solid axle(like the rear)
like compare the front suspension between cyclemut's xterra and drake's or mine or json's and most others
the benefit is the ability to gain more lift in the front and allows far better suspension articulation than independant suspenion
this is better for things like rock crawling
howeevr independant is better for things like desert running and racing(or regular street driving in some cases)
punkrockdrummerx 05-02-2008, 08:32 PM regular street driving...Dustin, thats an offroad event all its own. Its called Mall Crawlin'. Hey those curbs and parking stops get up to 6" in some places! lol
mgblanke 05-04-2008, 09:23 PM Go for it Kyle! What type of tires you getting?
mgblanke 05-04-2008, 09:24 PM Im planning on SAS mine
punkrockdrummerx 05-04-2008, 10:00 PM I eventually plan to SAS mine but that won't be for a while. Right now I am torn between Super Swamper LTB's (35" when they come out in June) and Pro-Comp Xtreme Mud Terrain's

Kyle, I have the MT not the Xtremes but I think they get chewed up WAY to easily. I am personally going with Irocs but TSL LTB's are not out of the question. I have heard that the TSL's are actually better than the LTB's from a friend, so I would be leary of it. Actually, his name is Alex Topousis, and he is on here and he is on RONIN as well. I Personally like all of those tires but I want to stay away from Pro-Comp from now on.
json3904 05-04-2008, 11:44 PM james i have heard the exact oposite about the tsl's and the ltb's.... i have the ltb's and so dose dustin and i dont think he will ever get another tire brand for his runner... same with my pathy.... well i take that back if i ever sas it i will run some 35" boggers.. LOL
soccerbrace 05-04-2008, 11:59 PM Yeah, I have never heard any complaints besides him, and I still like both tires. Althougth I am not so sure about the Pro Comps.
I am a fan of the Super Swamper tire. I think that the TSLs, the LTB's or the Irocs are going to be my next tire.
Although I have heard on many many occasions of people not liking the boggers.
json3904 05-05-2008, 12:02 AM well i have seen them in action one time... on a stock jeep with no lift and the girl kept forgetting to put it in 4wd and the boggers never missed a beat... LOL but they are also a very aggressive tire and not alot of peeps like that.. LOL
alpine spirit 05-05-2008, 07:34 AM Looks good!! It does not look like you cut into the actual body but if you did you will want to seal that up. THere is wiring in that area that is not made to take the weather.
mgblanke 05-05-2008, 09:14 AM Thanks Kevin...i will make sure i seal it up right so i dont end up having electrical problems.
kriskool123 04-01-2011, 12:12 PM Hey mgblanke did you just crank your stock torsion bars? Or is there a way to crank the new heavy duty torsion bars (included in ac suspension pack)
