I am thinking about putting in some white face gauges in my X. Has anybody every messed with or taken there gauge cluster out? I change in them a honda civic once. It took 15 mins and was very simple.

I bought those guages i referred to in my earlier post. They suck!:boese2-big: The did not fit exactly. I had to cut them to fit. If you look closely you should notice they don't have the holes for the screws. I had to drill them. The were to thick. My speedo woudl get stuck at about 45 mph and would not move again until I stop and then it would slam down to zero. I kept them on for two days and then ripped them off.

That was the worst $30 I every spent. :boese2-big:

I know you guys get tired of hearing me talk about those gauges. But I finally got my gauges back to normal. Putting in the white faces was a mess. I had removed the tach and temp gauge needles.

After I removed the white faces my tach and temp was off, way off. My X showed normal temp as overheating and my tach, well it just would not move. I fixed the tach last week and today I finally got the temp right. I will never mess with those gauges again.

well i couldnt install, i took the cluster off and come to find out the lights abs, fuel low and so on are raised up so that the solid white guage will not go on right and right off the bat i knew it wouldnt work unless i cut and modified the guage so i sent the seller that i bought them from a message asking if he had the right ones and if he did if he could swap out for me, if not im only out 10.00 but thats still not the point the dude told my that he was 100% sure they fit my car but i guess he lied to me...... oh well i will lwt you know how it goes and if i can find a set that will fit right. ? for you ggun which guages did you buy the first pic you posted or the second???????
