I have an '04 Xterra and I'm finally getting around to towing something and the electrical appears to be nonfunctional. I've read online that there is a missing relay. The dealership wasn't very forthcoming with information & wants me to come in so they can do it at $98/hr plus parts. I remember specifically selecting "tow package" when I bought it but why the f#<k wasn't electrical part of the tow package? Doesn't having a tow package without proper electrical make it as worth while as tits on a boar? I dunno, I'm kind of pissed about the whole thing seeing how the vehicle was worth 30k at the time of purchase, with a towing package included, yet the fkn thing doesn't work, at all. Any help is appreciated and I need to figure this issue out before Friday or some people might not be able to come with me due to lack of storage in my vehicle....

it is the 2nd gen that dosent come with the relay.... check yo fuses i bet its blown..... the 1st gen is a basic plug and play.....

Are you missing the actual 4 long plug?
