Ehsan 04-25-2008, 03:06 PM Ive read alot of threads and bullitens and all that..I just dont get it lol.

What im wonderin is can i take off 15'' rim and put on 16?
ok heres the main question. lets say i keep my 15's....whats the biggest tire i can get in there...no lift , no nothing.. a tire that is decent priced and will fit in there...im looking for beastly lookin tires lol .... PLZ HELP!:aufkopfhauen-big:
bigwill5686 04-25-2008, 03:09 PM i know on my stock 04* i run 265/75/16 without rubbing, thats equal to a 31.5x10 tire
soccerbrace 04-25-2008, 03:13 PM Anything that is 32" or less
json3904 04-25-2008, 03:14 PM it dont mater what size rim you have it dosent change the overall size of the tire..
Ricer-X 04-25-2008, 03:16 PM i know on my stock 04* i run 265/75/16 without rubbing, thats equal to a 31.5x10 tire almost
but its exactly
30.5(30.645")x10.5(10.43")
soccerbrace 04-25-2008, 03:19 PM Dude, just use the tire calculator here at the bottom
http://members.cox.net/nissan4wheelers/Calculators.htm
Anything that is 32" or less you are good.
bigwill5686 04-25-2008, 03:21 PM when i looked my tires up they said the diameter was 31.5, so that why i put it, sorry about the wrong info
Ricer-X 04-25-2008, 03:25 PM lol, no biggie yo,
and j, rim dia does matter when using the metric/aspect ratio size type
for example, 265/75/15 the sidewall is 75% of 265x2+tire diameter=overall height, thus
265/75/16 is one inch taller
it does not matter when using the overall dimension style, ie. 31X11.5X15, etc
bigwill5686 04-25-2008, 03:33 PM even when i use the tire calculator it comes up as a 31.6496062992126
Ehsan 04-25-2008, 04:17 PM alright so any thing smaller than a 32 wont rub right? my car is all stock
Ricer-X 04-25-2008, 04:20 PM If Almighty James Says It Is So, Then It Is So
bigwill5686 04-25-2008, 04:25 PM yep
jcody 04-26-2008, 05:05 AM just throwing it out there, i bought some 32 x 11.5 BFG MT's. I had a PML first and they still rubbed like crazy. So i trimmed, now with my 3" lift and the trimming it is finally not rubbing. So not saying that someone elses statement about their 32's isnt true, but mine definitely rubbed big time.
bigwill5686 04-26-2008, 07:52 AM did you use stock rims? if so its cause you didnt have enough back spacing for 11.5 wide tires
soccerbrace 04-26-2008, 07:55 AM Well, I should not be the final authority on this.
Here is a statement that I heard yesterday....
"2000-2001 have narrower wheel wells than 2002-2004"
This is from my buddy Justin. Before the BL that we did not too long ago, he was COMPLETELY STOCK running 32" tires.
I actually called him on behalf of this. He said:
" I had to do really minor trimming to the plastic pieces in on the fender. There is a little "lip" that sticks out and I didn't even have to trim that all of the way"
So yes, he trimmed but it is so incognito, that you would have to be told that it is there.
jcody 04-26-2008, 11:15 AM yes im on the stocks. that makes sense.
No Pipe 04-26-2008, 09:34 PM hey man im Justin James friend but i have a 2002 xterra and im running 32 on it these are some pics when i was stock
