: My Yellow 04
jconway23 04-21-2008, 08:39 AM Hey All...New to ClubX but I'm a member on a few others. Thanks to Punkrockdrummerx for the private message he sent me. Otherwise I wouldn't have known about ClubX. Anyway, not many mods yet. Hopefully some coming soon. The first set of pics some people may have seen already from the other sites. Just a quick ride to the woods on a Saturday morning.

The pics below are from this past weekend when I finally waxed the X. Pics could have been better but it still shows a little bit of the shine. If you look close the rear end of the X is sagging a bit. I had it loaded up with Pavers for my house. Putting in a little walkway. These pics were taken at my parents house before I went back to mine and got the X dirty again.

jconway23 04-21-2008, 09:39 AM Ah mods...yes mods....I plan to do quite a bit to it. I've had mine for 3 years now. It was just a daily driver for the most part. I actually thought about getting rid of it cause of the gas prices. I drive about 56 miles to and from work each day. I got to thinking about not wanting a payment on something else. I'll have this paid off soon(I hope). I'm working on my house currently so mods are going to come slow right now. Almost done with the house work so once the bills get caught up I'll start ordering parts.
I usually go nuts with mods. I had an 01 Eclipse that was bone stock when I bought it. Here is a pic of the car pretty much done. I don't have it anymore. I lost interest in cars and I ended up selling it for a fishing boat. At one point I had the X and the eclipse. I only drove the car for car shows and that was it. It didn't cost me anything but I really wanted a boat cause I love to fish all the time. So hopefully by the end of summer I will have some mods done. I think PML is on the list first. "Poor" being the key word right now. I'm hoping things catch up soon. So I can start doing some wheeling with so of you guys that live close to me.

jconway23 04-21-2008, 09:42 AM Well I can tell ya one thing. When I do clean my truck. Good wax or just a quick detail. If the sun is out I tend to see yellow for a little while after I am done. lol. As for the camera Ricer-X. Its really a cheap one. Its my gf's moms camera. Its a panasonic 5megapixel I think. Nothing special though. Although I don't complain about the pics it takes. It does a good job.
jman2000 04-21-2008, 09:46 AM Welcome Dude!! Too bad the eclipse is gone. It looks awesome!
Drake 04-21-2008, 11:22 AM I can relate on the gas bit trust me. My commute is 60 miles roundtrip and my X is supercharged so she's thirsty. hahaha
But I'm doing good. I average around 280 miles per tank with a best of 310 and at the lowest about 230.
punkrockdrummerx 04-21-2008, 11:26 AM Hey...you made it!! Hey incase your interested I am taking a warm-up run at Rausch Creek on May 3rd if your interested in going. It will be a good time to get out on some real trails and maybe even push yourself a little.
jconway23 04-21-2008, 11:43 AM Yeah I finally made it here. I had the flu for about a week and a half and didn't have any care in the world to even use a PC. I'm a PC tech too. Was off work though. Anyway, not sure I will make May 3rd. As much as I would like to come down there. I'm trying to get some work done at my parents house. Adding on to the deck/party area and trying to get the pool open and ready for this coming season(Memorial Day) I'll make it there some day. I didn't know it was such a ride there.
On a side note I am sure some of my friends will be interested in going as well. For the ATV/MX parts down there. I'll have to mention it to them.
I'm hoping to do some of the cheaper mods to my X before going places. I love these forums but with the time I have here at work to read everything its going to cost me money. lol.
I don't know what mods to start off with now.
punkrockdrummerx 04-21-2008, 01:04 PM Too bad you won't be able to make it. I am going to be going with another stocker or 2. You would be suprised at how well you can do out on some of these trails with a good spotter (ME). I have taken a stock xterra on some pretty nasty blue trails and they came out without any damage at all. Maybe another time. I usually try to go at least once a month with my usual group.
jconway23 04-21-2008, 01:14 PM Some of the trails(I'll call them that) where those pics of my X were taken are pretty serious. I might have to trip up there again and take some pics of the other trails. I haven't gone that other way in a while due to storms and stuff. I'll get some friends to go as well so I'm not in the woods by myself. I am sure that I will need a spotter in some spots. Rocks and such are big. In fact at the end of it as you reach the 3rd Dam there is a wall you can climb up. I did all of this trail before many times. I was actually surprised I was able to do it. Only once when I had my side steps on did I actually hit. Climbing the wall at the end I was stopped on it to get a better angle at the turn. And I slide back a little bit and bent the brackets for the steps. Maybe I'll take a video camera with me even and get some video. Its a pretty cool place to go for some off road. Basically only 1 trail/road to go on. Like I said on the other boards I wasn't sure of the road due to washouts and stuff. From talking to people since then I guess it's still doable.
Gilligan_From_IT 04-21-2008, 08:20 PM Nice rig...welcome.
punkrockdrummerx 04-21-2008, 08:47 PM I might be interested in taking a run there with ya. where is that place at???
jconway23 04-21-2008, 09:13 PM Like I said its nothing to special. Might be able to make more out of it though but hitting some side trails. Its in Jessup PA. If you were to get off the casey highway coming from your house take a right off the exit. You will pass the entrance to the highway you just got off. It would be the second left you get to. Take that which is "sunnyside drive" Down at the bottom you can hit the trails there. There are several different ways to go all basically leading to the same place. Some alot easier then others since they are working in the area. I soon think that this whole mountain will be an industrail park. Only a matter of time since its changed so much in the last few years. it used to be the place to go. People tend to dump alot of their garbage anymore. Which really sucks cause its such a nice place. if you are ever up there was I can show you where it is. but with those directions you'd be able to find it.
punkrockdrummerx 04-21-2008, 09:29 PM nice...the only real local trails I hit are on giants despair. Some of them are auctually really tough trails but a lot of them are fun. Its not exactly legal wheeling, but its still fun as hell.
