: Waving hello from Ohio!!
medictom 04-03-2006, 06:40 PM Hey all,
Waving hello from Ohio. Just got a new 2006 Nissan Xterra S Model Red Brawn Xterra in the past 2 weeks. Had previously leased a 2001 Nissan Xterra XE Solar yellow model, but never was able to do what I wanted since it was a lease, but now that I own it, plan to learn how to take it where the X doesn't shine..
I got mine at Ken Ganley Nissan in Brunswick Ohio (http://www.kenganleynissan.com). You have a great sales staff, awesome service department, and lots of Xterra's to choose from. If you are in the Northeast Ohio area and need one, give them a look, they will get you into the Xterra you want, in no time flat.
I plan to get the fog light assembly kit and install those shortly, and as soon as I can find a Bull Bar to fit the new 2006 I will put one of those on too. So say hi if you have a moment, and I hope to make some great friends here.
Welcome to the club. We have a little bit of everything here whether your modding your X, mudding your X, checking out Boofer's daily video links or wanna just chat with your fellow X enthusiasts. Welcome again and good X'ing.

If you get the SE, then you get the Rockford Fosgate stereo. It really kicks ass. :)
matt_sr 04-14-2006, 09:12 PM I have to pass along a funny occurance. I have teenagers old enough to drive, or shortly will be. I got the Xterra home, and the three older kids were saying how cool it would be to drive it. I then added that it had a manual transmission, at which point they just totally deflated. It's bad enough the mustang has a manual, they want to drive it so bad they drool. But now both of my cars are sticks, and they're all mad at me. I'm the only person in the house who knows how to drive a stick shift.

I see that as good & bad. When I bought my 350Z, I wanted a stick. I mean, to me, thats how sports cars are done. But my wife cant drive stick no matter how hard I try to teach her.
She pleaded with me at the time saying that I was selfish in buying a car that only I could drive, what would happen if we were out in the car & I became incapacitated...
So I gave in and got an auto.
And you know what? to this day, Im the only one that drives it.
matt_sr 04-15-2006, 11:47 AM My father bought me my first car, a 1980 Sunbird hatchback with 4 speed, back in 81. He drove it out to Norfolk where I was stationed, I was about 19 at the time. He taught me to drive it on one of the hugh base parking lots. I've owned about twenty cars since then, and my Escape has been the only automatic, and if you've read my other posts, you know where that got me. I forgot my dads lesson plan for a short bit, but I'm back on now. If I turn the VDS off, I can even spin the rears.
