Just wondering if any of you do-it-yourselfers have done there own brakes on the X's. I think i'm going to attempt it this week with the front set( Pads and maybe rotors). I've done rear ones on a Mazda B series pickup but that was a little different. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

I don't do any of my own work.. sometimes it's just easier to pay someone who knows what they're doing... lol... I KNOW I'd just screw it up :)
GOOD LUCK!
Use a "C" clamp instead of bleeding your brakes.

I have not replaced breaks on the Xterras yet, but if you have done disc breaks before they are all pretty much the same concept.
If you don't replace the rotors or have them cut, you might have an odd feel in your pedal until the new pads break into the rotors.
Also, use a large C-Clamp to push the caliper piston back in before putting the new pads on.
Don't forget to bleed your breaks and add more break fluid as needed.
Also, do not touch the surface of the pads or the rotors. If you do, clean them with break cleaner.
Again, these are general tips that I would use on any disc break install.
