I knew someone was going to ask lol. I made a base plate on the CNC plasma. The plate matches the plastic one the rack. So you unbolt the rack, lift it 1/2" and inch and slip the bracket in. One tab on each side sticks out for the light.

I would take a pic, but all you can see is the tab coming out the base plate.

I think I still have one of the brackets in my shop somewhere, I'll snap a pic if it's there.

Crank the TB's, it evens out the factory rake.

I'm towards Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, etc.

No, I do wholesale on wheels through work, so I got them from one of my local suppliers.

There's no shame in a bonestocker bro!!! Nobody goes out and buys their X fully modded (Only Heepers do that :mocking: ). All of us start out bonestock. That's what makes modding so great. You can watch your baby grow up to be big and skrong! hahaha

What's a heeper????

If you buy it modded you get bored quicker. The lil mods give you something to look forward to.

I was tired of the Xterra, Was thinking of dumping it and getting something else. But after the wheels, alignment, brakes (pain in ass to do), tune up, it feels like a new truck. I enjoy driving it again.

Thanks Drake. You guys rule!

However it is sad when you are a teenager sitting at home because every single one of his friends are out doing stuff with hot girls. At least I have a car. All the girls here all gold-diggers who are afraid of guys. Oh well. Time for posting hahahaha! lol

What's a heeper????

It was a term I've seen used to describe jeep owners. There was a thread I read a while back and it was talking about how you can go just about anywhere nowadays to any dealership and find a fully modded jeep for sale.

Like Chairmn said... you don't respect the vehicle as much when all of the work is done by someone else. It's a pride thing I guess.

Do I see Kuhmo road ventures? Had those on an S10 once, now they're on my car trailer. They went through the trials, held up well. Nice tire for the money.

yes they are, way better tire than I expected for the price.

Why are they on your car trailer now?

Well I sold my S10 to my buddy, who put TSL's on it. I needed new tires on the trailer, and the Kuhmos had lots of life left, were about the right size....
I've towed some heavy trucks on there, without any issues. Worst being a Ford F350 Powerstroke diesel crew cab. My other friend with a trailer has blow outs all the time, and he has real trailer tires. I've never had an issue though, strange.

Yep, great tire. Very quiet and smooth on the road, decent for most offroad use. See them in use here....

Sure thing.

5x8 Soft 8, 4.75 backspace (+6 offset) 31"x10.5"

I cranked the torsion bars and had it aligned. I left the back alone, I don't like the rake.

I am new too the Xterra club and am really excited about getting this thing fixed up, but I really have no clue what the above terminology means. I would like your exact set up as above, can I get this without having a lift? And if I am not heavy on the gas pedal will I still see the same milage as with the original stock tires?

Thanks

the user meant to post 15x8 soft 8.. If thats the case go to Summitracing.com and go to cragar wheels and look up the soft 8's.. They only cost about $40 each with FREE shipping... his tire size is 31" tall by 10-1/2" wide fitting the 15" wheels..

What he means by cranking the torsion bars is he raised the front ride height accormlished by cranking the torsion bars, see out forums HOW TO section. Rake means, if you look at the X from a side view you will notice the front sits lower than the back , this is considered a front rake.. Because he cranked the front torsion bars it lifted his front end leveling it with the rear removing this "rake"

I'm going to set mine up with 2" body lift. Cragar's 5" backspace with Cooper SST 32's. Hope it fits.
