I bought 2 new cars last week. What attracted me to the X was the possibility of finding a new one with a 6-speed for use here in the boonies of Vermont. I traded my '06 STI on a '12 Pro-4X 6-speed.
The day before I traded my wife's '05 Pilot for a '12 Forester 5-speed. That's what she wanted. We looked at many alternatives.
I really liked the Grand Cherokee Hemi but too expensive and no stick available.
4-Runner too. Only the FJ comes in a stick, but it requires premium fuel. So did the STI.
The X is a blast to drive. It goes thru anything around here. Tons O' Torque. No more switching between winter & summer tires. I'm a happy X driver.
