Has anyone ever broken the body bolts before?? I am really worried about helping a friend with a body lift because his bolts look like HELL!! I dont want to snap one and need to drill it out!!
PB blaster has been administered every day for 2 weeks, hopefully it will help, we tried to remove the drive line safety loop last night and stripped the bolt head because it wouldnt budge.. So I think we will just end up cutting the loop off altogether..

SO WHAT IF YOU BREAK A BODY BOLT?
you are talking about the stockers right? you will be replacing those, if it breaks in the body just hammer that shit thru
unless im missing something i dont see the concern

6 bolts can be pounded though, 4 bolts have welded nuts on the frame...

then if you break those you gotta bust out with a decent drill
and if all else fails, and you cant get it out, grind the welded nut off, and either weld a new one or put a "regular" nut and drive carefully to a shop and have them weld a new nut on
you shouldnt have a problem though
we did a BL on my 89 4runner, with 20yrs of rust and no pb balster until the moment we tried to take them off, and we didnt break anything
the only snag we had was one body bolt had fused to the body, so i had to grind the bolts head off and hammer like hell from the bottom
you should be fine man, dont stress it too much

I would just be really careful with the ones that have the welded nut. Also if you have access to a torch, heat can be your friend with stuck bolts.

Agreed, I would just make sure that you PB blast everything really well.
Chris, did you just write:
"I am scared....hold me" ;)
I don't blame you on the ones welded to the frame. I would just go slow with them and not use air to break them loose. Use a breaker bar for that, Then use the impact

"I am scared....hold me" but dont hold me to close yet lets get to know eachother a little better first...
I just hate working on crap and making the job 10 time harder than it should be.. I member working on my Jeep, I was going to change out the shackles and the bolt broke a bolt.. guess what was next.. stripping out the interior pulling the carpet, and cutting a hole in the floor just to be able to get to the other side of the bolt!!
