My driver side brake light is not working. Every other light works and I have tried changing the bulb. Anyone got any ideas??

start checking your fuses.... also change the bulb again maby it blew.....

I have an 06 X and my drivers side brake lamp is out. I checked the owners manual on how to change it and it showed a diagram with 2 bolts holding the assembly to the body. I removed the bolts but the assembly doesn't come off. Is there a trick to it?

Pull. it'll pop out for you. they use a little tab that snaps in place. it'll pop loose when you tug on it gently.

Do I pull straight back or pull from the bolt side toward the outside like a door? I really don't want to break anything.
