Wasn't sure whether this is normal but when I was pushing down all the plug wires on the distributor cap to make sure they're down nice and hard, I got a nice little shock from one of them.
I thought they were all supposed to be grounded and couldn't go through the rubber... is that normal?

did you have electrical grease on your hands? Did you not unplug the battery?

Probably just have a worn out wire that can't insulate it is all.
Nice little shock though :P good way to wake someone up.

I've been shocked through the rubber boot on my lawn mower spark plug before. I think the current just arcs through the rubber if it gets a chance to.
