my stance is this: I LOVE GLOBAL WARMING... because I fucking HATE to be cold.

All these liberal "the earth is warming a quater a degree a century" idiots should be forced to have their meetings in febuary in Saskatchewan at 50 below zero.. and THEN we'll see if they hate global warming!!!

*steps off soap box*

I'm spent... :)

do you think we are causing global warming? do you not? and why?

Possibly. And I only say that because we're in an age where we DO have WAY more emissions than ever before.... However, the earth has been warming and cooling on it's own for millions of years, without any help or hinderance from us.

The real problem is that as humans we think we're SO important to the earth.. the earth has been doing fine with or without us for centuries.

Do I think we're damaging the earth? Yes. Do I think it matters in the long run? No. Because it will find a way to heal itself just like it has forever.

That probably doesn't answer your question. But it's as good as I have. :)

If it wasn't for global warming the Earth would still be a big dirty snowball.

A single Volcanic erruption spews more carbon-dioxide into the air than all of our cars over the last 20 years (or something like that).

It's not us, it's the way the Earth has been for millions of years.

excellent, informed people!!! i am going to enforce the point both of you just made

if you look at a chart for the past century, then yes, everything is getting warmer, also if you look at a chart for the last 20yrs or so, yes weather is getting more intense. this is where most people's knowledge of this ends. if you take a chart of temps of the entire recorded temperature data, its almost a flat line, our palnets weather cycles on a much larger scale than just a year, to the point that unless ALL info is taken into account, provides misleading information. if you take a chart from the last say 150yrs, extreme weather such as hurricanes, etc. it get bad for 10-30 yrs at a time, then falls off and all is "normal" for some time, same goes for the temperature.

if anyone is interested, i can look up and post articles providing facts backing everything ive said.

Bottom Line:
there is global warming, but not because of us, if there is an effect its minimal, its just our planets climate going through a natural cycle that is too long in our perception of time to be noticed unless you actually research
