hello new to this site, though it is set up just like gixxer.com. Anyways i just bought a 02 xterra se, with the v6, and 94k on it for 7500....... it seems to run good, and the dealer is putting on new tires for me and an alignment... so is that a good deal? its in good shape a couple dents and it was so a chicks car being shock blue with butterflies, and some funky flower power jvc cd player in it lol. so is there any thing i should look at, look for, any concerns???? whats the typical fuel milage well anyways i know these questions get asked all he time and there is a search button, and ima use it just want direct answers while i explore this new community thanks

Welcome to CX!

Thanks for noticing and using our search function:smart:

The key thing is the timing belt and water pump. Nissan recommends this service be done at or around 105K and with it at 94K already, I would push them to go ahead and change it now if it hasn't been done already. If they won't do it, don't buy it. Seriously. Be patient and don't compromise on this. If the belt breaks you are looking at some serious engine damage.

If they won't do it or come off their price to compensate then I would walk. That's just my 2 cents though. I know how hard it is to turn away from an X but it would be in your best interest to haggle on this one.

Outside of that... the xterras are pretty sound reliable vehicles and if the maintenance is kept up, you can easily put 200K on one.

I just realized and reread your post that you already bought it so just ignore most of what I said in my other post. :aufkopfhauen-big:

Definitely have the timing belt and water pump inspected though. It may have already been changed by the dealer but here are some words to live by:

When in doubt... change it out.

Oh ok right on. Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all either way so you may just come away with a steal. Post some pics when you get the chance and show it off in the "Members Xterras" section if you score it.

Good luck with all of it!
