So I need new tires and I decided I want the Michelin LTX M2 and my bf wants a tire that's more aggressive looking so he wants me to get ATs... My thing is I need tires for
1. Highway
2. Rain
3. Light snow
4. N very light off road incase I decide to go on grass to avoid traffic ...lol

But I don't know if the HT or AT tire is better. I think HT, but what do you guys think???

I highly recommend AT tires. Snow, rain, off-road, they work everywhere. Some people complain about noisiness at highway speeds but if you get the right kind it isn't noticeable. Even the cheapo ones don't make THAT much noise (especially in comparison to MT tires). I have Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires and have been very satisfied with them. I bought them and then went on a 250 mile road trip on highways and roads that were 50/50 snow and slush.

The Michelin Ltx A/T2s are pretty good, they're a pretty good trade between road tires and ats. Driven them across the country 5 times.

My parents have some Michelin LTX M/S2 on their '02 Ford Explorer and they love them. They have taken them on some roads really rough roads and light trails and they do great for what they are. They give excellent gas milage, great tread life, and they are great in rain and great in snow. A couple of years ago we drove up to Portland, OR and there must have been 1.5 feet of snow on some very steep city roads. in 4x4 and with a little tail movement they made it up no problem. We made it all the way up and then got stuck in about 2 feet of snow about 10 feet from out destination (I'm not sure I would blame the tire though, the Explorer looks like its a lowrider next to my stock X). The Michelin LTX M/S2 are a great tire; however, if you want more off-road/snow ability then I would go with the ATs.

It sounds like you would be better off with HT's by looking at your driving habits. There is no need for an AT if you are never going to take advantage or need the type of tread on an AT. That said, if you want the more aggressive look, go with the AT. If you want a longer lasting tire (IMO looking at what you want them for) I would get the HT.
Good luck :-)

I run Firestone Destination AT's and like them a lot, I havent had them in snow yet but they did really good at nxm in some slight mud and then I had them out in some mud not to long ago and the did good. Plus they look mean!

I went from HTs to ATs and like the ATs muuuuuch better, especially in snow. Plus, as already mentioned, the ATs don't really make much noise on the road. Mine are good all arounders, IMHO.
