I used to have a 99 Isuzu Rodeo, but just recently inherited a 2004 Xterra. I had an Alpine cde-9852 deck in the Rodeo, and I'd like to get in the Xterra but I'm wondering if the harness I have will work?? I've been trying to look on Best Buy, but the model is no longer listed and similar models are listed as "Not Compatible" with the 04 Xterra. Please don't tell me I'm going to have to get a new deck that will fit.............

Why can't you buy a harness?

Dude, a harness is just so you can hook into your factory plug.

So it goes, aftermarket plug in back of stereo to butt connectors to harness plug which plugs into the OEM harness.

All you have to do is buy a new harness, or cut wires right before the OEM plug and right before the harness, and connect with butt connectors

its a single din correct?? i dont see why it wouldnt fit, just get yourself a harness and a mounting bracket and you are good to go..

The X has a TON of room to mount a head unit, so you should be good...

Yeah, not to mention sat-rad controllers and tuners, too. I could fit a VCR behind the dash!
