Thought I'd share a video my good friend Nicholas made of our snowy expedition last weekend. Our intended destination was Rhododendron Lake, a remote lake about 22KM due west of Nanaimo, British Columbia. Nick had attempted to get to this lake before but was not successful due to inaccurate maps. This time we were successful! Didn't require any serious 4x4 action but it was a blast to go out in ~6" of snow and explore some beautiful scenery.

Lots of looping around and backtracking but all-in-all, what a fantastic way to spend a Saturday!

That was a great trail video.
Who was the one holding the camera to get the footage of both vehicles passing by while freezing in the woods? To get the best shots, sometime need to endure a little cold.

That would be Nick... but up here we are used to the cold so no complaints!
He shoots while his girlfriend drives the FJ.

We do indeed have amazing terrain and scenery to explore up here. We are already planning our next trip out.... Probably the weekend after next. Hoping for some more snow before then, makes the trips all that more interesting and scenic.
