A friend of mine has some stuff but I can't remember what it is called. It removed the vinyl decal from my civic in one pull. I will talk to him this afternoon and find out what it was and let you know. Some others will probably have a few ideas to try as well. I would not do the rubbing compound though.

you jut cant get the decal off?? or you cant get the residue off?? if you cant get the decal off just use a heat gun/hair dryer and a sharp fingernail to get under it, then just slowly peal if off as you heat it up.. I removed this pinstripe on my X this way the day I brought it home...

i would take a razor blade to it...... lay the raver blade flat on the letters and slowly peel them off..... i have had to do it to other cars and trucks..... just de careful to not scratch the paint....

Yep, I remove decals all the time (since that's what I do for a living, lol). Just get them warm with a heat gun or blow dryer, and peel them off. Some take a while, so take your time. Then just remove the glue, with like you said, goo-gone or whatever. I actually use the 3M adhesive remover, it works a little quicker is all.

Try an eraser wheel. You can find them at any auto paint store. They go on a power drill and literally erase the decal, pinstripe, or any thing else like that. They are very easy to use and do a great job.

Dont use a razor blade, unless you want to take the chance of scratching your x.

Id just be careful, they make hard plastic scrapers for that. Takes about 2 min to get it off, and if theres any gunk left from the sticker, just use goo off. Magical stuff!

Hate it when dealers do that, let us know how if and when you get it off.
