I have seen several "Hi-Lift Jacks" aka "Australian Style Farm Jack" on Xs. I have seen them mounted either on the back bumper or on the roof, on the roof rack.

Does anyone know where ya might be able to pickup the mounting kit for the roof mount, or how it's done.

Thanks.

as to the mounting i really dont know... also keep in mind that if you dont have sliders and/or a front or rear bumper there is no place to use the jack.....

i have seen people mount them to a roof rack just using bolts, washers and wing nuts... But you have to be careful I used to have a jack mounted to my roof of my Jeep and one night I was at work (i worked night shift), my jack grew legs and walked away.. i never mounted it again after that I just threw it inside when I ever went on an outing...

I deal with a local company here in Georgia, In fact my wife is the sales manager there. Give her a call or send her an email they carry the full Hi-Lift Line. She can get the mounts for the roof rack and they also offer several different accessories for attaching the jack in the event you have to use it. Check out there website www.hi-lift.com. My wife's name is Tabitha, the store website is www.stsoffroad.com

Good Luck

Thanks for all the info guys.

Jason, I only have the stock nerf bars right now, but I'm getting a friend of mine to make custom sliders for me.

cbzdel, good point about the mount on the roof, but I was thinking of adding a couple of locks...we'll see what happens.

Thanks.

FOUND IT!!! But now I need to see if someone in Vancouver carries it...

Otherwise I will have to order it from my brothers and sisters in the states.

Just when I thought that I found the right product, it turns out that I would have to replace my roof rack if I went with that product from GOBI.

Ahh shit!

dont get a generic "farm jack" get a real high lift if you plan on getting one, there are jamming problems with and cheaper farm jacks...

but how about either of these products?

Hey cbzdel,

Thanks for the links to the Hi-Lift website, I got in touch with them to find out if they have a dealer in Vancouver here. Found out that there isn't a dealer but a distributor. So i was in touch with them, and the cost for them is the same price as in the states, and I don't have to have it shipped up here.

Now I need to get my custom built sliders done...lol

I don't like scissor jacks. They are unstable and then your car comes crashing down on your face. Almost lost my arm helping fix a friends flat tire.
