I swear I read somewhere about something called "Federal Down Tubes" and it was a stock part that can be swapped in.. I guess all they are, are down tubes that go off the exhaust manifold to the y-pipe deleting the 2nd cats. Does anyone know about these or and I just dreaming up Xterra parts???

edit: wow pricewise I am looking at about $300 total from some cat-less down tubes, maybe I would have better luck with having them custom made... I think I should wait to have some made up to attach to the Nismo exhaust once I get some headers ordered, since I guess I WILL need some cats somewhere lol...

I got my federal pipes from walker exhaust. They definitally weren't nearly $300. Part numbers are: 53345 & 54338.

edit: punkrocker, what kind of exhaust are you running, I am thinking of just using these in conjunction with the nisimo catback and then skipping the headers, any thoughts??

I have a combination of a nismo and magnaflow. But I am going to be putting in a flowmaster muffler this summer. I don't like the sound of the magnaflow but I did really like the Nismo a lot. I suggest the nismo highly. Then again I plan on running headers also in the not too distant future.
