So I have been looking at becoming a member of the Xterra club for sometime and I will most likely be joining in a month. The vehicle I am looking for would be a 2005 Xterra SE 4 wheel drive. I am choosing the 2005 because that's when the vehicle was redesigned. SE because I would like the most loaded version. My last truck had no power steering, side views, AC, etc... So to say the least I am very excited to get an Xterra. I am looking in the Twin Cities and for some reason this is a very hard vehicle to come buy. Been looking at auto trader, local papers, ebay, carsoup, etc... I haven't found any personal owners that are looking to sell their 2005. Does anyone have some advice on where to find someone that is looking to sell their 2005?

My best option has been near Chicago, IL. 2005, SE, 35,000 miles, $15995. This seems like a decent deal to me as everything else I have found is around $17-19,000.

Does anyone have any advice for things to look for when purchasing an Xterra? Particularly an '05?

I am so excited to get this vehicle. I already test drove the exact vehicle but am looking for a better price. The one I test drove had a sticker of $18,995.

Seems like a good deal from what you say, Its an X you cant go wrong, you will most def. be happy with it!! I say go for it and become a full on member but lock up your credit cards and wallet if you do get one because the mod bug will bite you HARD!!! I know from experience :)
