Big Aloha to all as I just became an Xterra Off Road Owner....tonight. I have been comparing back and forth for the past few months. This website was instrumental in my decision as well as Consumer Reports and Car and Driver. The Nissan 1.9% financing helped a lot too. Having come from a very tired 1998 Frontier 4x4 which I was the original owner, I am very impressed with the new Nissan products. Super Black wasn't my first choice but now that I own it, I love it. Funny how that works.
Mahalo (Thank you) all for such an informative website, I assure you I will be around.
Now time to research the future mods.

Mahalos for making me feel so welcome. I'll start hitting the other threads so as to not clog this one up.
Pics coming soon, love this XTERRA OF. My only regret now is not being able to go play due to work.
Attached is a stock Nissan photo of the same color as mine.
Since it is only two days in my possession, I am still on the mission of discovery. My old fronty was very basic, while the x admittedly has some learning curve. I frequently, off road or at least I did until the State of Hawaii started making most places, in particular beaches illegal to bring vehicles on. Remote beaches that is, not popular surf beaches - we know bettah. For the locals, that was Kahuku Golf Course and now Mokuleia which I hear if you are in the wrong place you may be escorted of the premises at gunpoint by rude deputies and face a fine and a court date.
So now I have this killer Xterra with a locking rear diff and no place to go. If some of the other local bruddahs on the site got some places, we should talk story.

howsit? I live on Maui and have yet to take my X on anything serious. My all stock for now as well. Just registered here myself. What island you on?
