Elt3hawk 10-21-2011, 10:14 AM My2006 xterra won't crank and wont start. When you turn the key it is like trying to start it with out the clutch in. All the lights come on but just silence. Other than that, might want to check for codes to see if anything comes up. yes, I had this problem 3-4 months ago. it was a small plastic tab broke for the clutch safety switch. You can just hold your finger down and drpress the clutch safety switch (on your floorboard) to get it running. porsche4786 10-26-2011, 12:42 PM A little off topic, but you could easily tap into the wiring of that switch and put a hidden switch or button you need to press to start the car.... rjr162 10-26-2011, 01:03 PM It could be the switch or the solenoid on the starter took a dump...
