Does anybody has a picture of a pre-runner style bumper on an Xterra? I was looking at AC's but it looks like it may just go over the bumper like a brush guard. I've never been into the real heavy duty huge bumpers like everyone puts on their X's. Any pics or suggestions would be great!

I actually bought the AC one to sue as a base. It does kinda go on the existing metal part(on an 00-01). I took of the bottom plastic part, and I was going to reinforce it and build the rest....butttt.......it never happened, haha.

That's pretty much exactly what I was looking for, thanks! I'm wanting to get/make one like that with sheet metal put up front to protect from rock debri and what not. Probably with something stupid etched in it like my screenname.

I know what you mean about things not happening. When I was wheeling a Yota we went to bob the bed, gonna be real nicely done. We cut the first part and got to lookin at it, then we said screw it, drilled a couple holes in my bed and ziptied my taillights to it. Drove it like that for almost two years. Anyways...

NOISH - I want a pre-runner style bumper also. Someone posted a site awhile back that had some pretty sweet bumpers that were similar to these. I think soccerbrace did. I think he bought some sliders from them.

However, they may have only been for yota's.

Don't ask me whos it is, but it gives you an idea. I wanna build the same thing for my X.

That's "Houdini's" frontier. That thing is sick! He's a member of my NOAS club. That prerunner is actually a custom job done by a guy in North Carolina if I'm not mistaken. Here's an xterra with a prerunner bar built by the same guy.

Check out Total Chaos' Project Xterra. It has a small custom pre-runner bumper. Most people think it's a skid plate but it's actually a prb. I think they will fab one for around $500. They don't stock them or actually market them but I read somewhere that if you call and talk to them they will fab one up for you.

that is pretty sick, when my buddy gets a bender, we're making pre runner light bars for my X and his 4runner. i'll post pics when we do it
