I had a 2001 Xterra that got totaled with 265/70/15 rims and now I have a 2003 Xterra with 265/70/16 rims. I am told that I can put my winter 265/70/15 tires and rims on with a less then 3km difference on my odometer. The problem is that I do not have the center caps for these old rims. Do I need to put these on or will the salt screw stuff up if I do not? The new rims are aluminum and flat and the old rims are steel and rounded so I already bought new lug nuts.

I run this tire and wheel without the centercap...

Also I had to replace a tire after putting about 3k miles on them new, can't tell one tire is different.

I also have my brush bars from my 01 but was told that they will not fit on the 03 because the frame was changed. Anyone know if this is correct?

2000-2004 brush guards are all the same.
