Hi,
I 'm new here. I researched my vehicle for several months before I puchased a 2006 Xterra congingent upon fixing a "noise" that it was making. It's been at the dealership for 2 weeks and they finally settled on replacing the axle shaft and hub assembly. Has anyone had trouble with any of these items? Or is this unique? I love the vehicle... and I would love to drive it.

I'm a 1st genny but I read through the forums of 3 different clubs daily and this is the first I've seen of an axle/hub problem. I would have to say that you are just a unique (although unfortunate) case. Maybe K1, DRat or XVT can provide you with more sound info but I've not read of this problem myself being a common issue with the 2nd gens.

What kind of noise?
