I got to question really.

I thought since im gonna have an off-road shop install my body lift. i might as well get the 3 inch body lift. The only kit the shop carries is made by perfromance accessories. They said i needed to know the lenght of the driveshaft on a 2000 nissan xterra and my 2004 xterra to try and make it fit. If u guys can come up with anything i'd appreciate it.

also will that kit fit without awhole of modifications?

If all you're doing is a body lift, there's no need to change the drive shaft at all...

A body lift merely lifts the body off of the frame. The entire drive train (engine, transmission, transfer case, drive shafts, front diff. and rear axle, etc. etc.) stay where they're at on the frame; and the plastic/rubber pucks between the frame and the body are replaced with thicker ones.

You sure you're just having them do a body lift?

Church is right. And to answer your last question, there are a number of mods they will have to do with the 3" vs the 2" like fuel filler extension, steering shaft etc.

Idk y i put drive shaft. The steering shaft was what i meant to put. That shop told me they cant guarantee the performance accessories kit will fit my 04 since its specifically designed for a 2000. I mean i no the 3 inch kit means more work than a 2 inch. They said the need the length of the steering shaft from both years to c if they can modify the kit to fit mine.

sorry bout the typo earlier

All first gens are exactly the same when it comes to a body lift. There is no difference between any of then 2000-2004.
