Hey guys, so I just got the DEI python remote start kit and it has an aux on it assignable to a few things. Well im going to install it maybe tonight or sometime this week but I wanted to see if you guys had any good ideas for the aux. I know it can do windows rolling down or something but I didnt know if there was anything else. Anyways, let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Install some linear actuators on your rear hatch and make it auto-open. That'd be slick. :mocking:

I have my aux set up to turn my radio on without having to use the key. I just had to program it to latch with a reset w/key on.

buy the window relay and make it to where you open the windows.... or close them... that would be sweet....

thanks for the input. I like the rear hatch idea! I just might figure out how to do that. I also found out that it has 2 aux options so the windows will be for that

I would like to have the window option on my xterra to work with my remote starter, but I think it would be a little tough to use the aux output to trigger something that would have a monkey pop out of my glove box and crank the manual windows up.

You have manual windows on your X? I didn't know that was an available option.

it was a special option.... and is very rare... LOL

yes I do have the manual windows. Comes on the very base model XE. And yes its very rare. They only come on the X if you have no power options at all.

One of the guys in my hometown had his aux button on his remote hooked up to an extra windshield washer tank/pump in his Ranger Splash. The nozzle fired directly out of the grille. Needless to say several people got "Splashed".

I personally would like to just see the monkey come out of the glove box. That would be a hell of a mod.

I install remote starters and a fun one (but not very productive) hook the aux output to relay and drive your reverse lights.
Go to the mall during xmas stand a good distance away and when you see a car looking for a parking space turn on your reverse lights and see how long they wait...and get really really pissed!

LOL if i had that starter i would hook a relay up to my lights on the roof so i could turn them on or off from outside the car....
