: Meet and greet in Tacoma Washington
greasemunky 08-23-2011, 01:00 PM We will be holding a meet and greet on Sunday, September 18, 2011. As of right now the plan is to meet at the Tacoma Mall at 12:00 (noon). From there we will decide if its just going to be a "Ooooo AAaaaahhhhh i like your X, lets go eat" or a "Ooooo AAaaaahhhhh i like your X, lets go wheel" either way, it will give us a chance to meet other X's around us and hopefully have a few laughs. If you haven't already done so, head over and join our new group on facebook , thanks to sexterra, http://www.facebook.com/groups/196209307106975/?id=204417599619479¬if_t=group_activity Feel free to pm me and i'll give you my cell so no one gets lost on the 18th. Hope to see you there!!!!
Mike :wink-big:
SeXterra2000 08-23-2011, 01:05 PM Definitely give a big thanks to greasemunky! Just pm him or I and we can get this shabang going!! ALL X's are welcome!
See you there! :wink-big:
miskywhisky 08-23-2011, 02:45 PM Closed group FTL. :(
greasemunky 08-23-2011, 03:12 PM There should be a link in the top right that says something along the lines of "join this group" once you do that you have to wait for sexterra to accept you into the group, when i did it, he accepted me within literally 10 min. just look for the button to join the group!!!!
greasemunky 08-23-2011, 03:14 PM http://www.facebook.com/groups/196209307106975/ try this link
bowlerx 08-23-2011, 03:37 PM im down, hopefully anyways. its on the off week that me and my fiance gets paid.
greasemunky 08-23-2011, 04:14 PM Stash like $60 from one of your next checks. DONE
Cool, that's how Meet & Greet's work. Pick a date, set a time and place then just sit back and see who shows up.
greasemunky 08-24-2011, 09:48 AM Yea I got tired of trying to see what dates and times and places work best for everyone on other threads so I decided to just set it up and see who shows, if its just me, I'll enjoy lunch out with my boy, no skin off my back lol
miskywhisky 08-24-2011, 02:19 PM Yeah i'd probably want to carpool up with someone if i can go. I just suck at planning ahead and committing on stuff. No real point in spending $60 in gas just to drive myself.
greasemunky 08-24-2011, 02:57 PM No big deal, however you can make it would be great!!!! Plus, i'm working with creepy on a surprise to hand out to whoever shows up!!!!! (nothing big but i thought it would be cool to have something for our first ever PNWX2 meet and great!!!)
:pfeilimkopf-big:
greasemunky 08-24-2011, 03:00 PM Closed group FTL. :(
Were you ever able to join up with that second link i put?
Steeze 08-24-2011, 05:17 PM I'm down.. but we gotta wheel. I wanna get some in before the snow falls..
greasemunky 08-24-2011, 08:34 PM I'm down.. but we gotta wheel. I wanna get some in before the snow falls..
Welcome to the west coast, if we don't wheel as a group, I was planning on going to this place I know, its really small, one way in and out, but its fun enough. And trust me, you have a while before any threat of snow, and the usual is 2-3 inches max, your not in colorado anymore lmao
xtacular 08-24-2011, 11:47 PM Yeah don't expect much snow on Whidbey lol. But snow won't be far away, plenty of good skiing/snowboarding close by.
greasemunky 08-31-2011, 07:23 PM Update: we will meet in the parking lot facing I-5, same side of the mall as "panera bread" but all the way in the back, that way there will be enough parking for whoever shows!!!!
See you there!!!!
Mike
Muddypenguin 09-02-2011, 11:19 AM So to go wheeling what do you suggest we "need" to bring. ( extra fuel, tow straps, etc.) and is there certain required modifications that we need or is stock ok?
SeXterra2000 09-02-2011, 02:55 PM Well good enough tires should be sufficient. I only have 33's and a pml as far as suspension goes. so really just good enough tires, and I've got tow straps. Coolant would be good to pring, or just jugs of water, and gas too. I'm bringing coolant gas and water lol
Muddypenguin 09-02-2011, 05:36 PM I have stock suspention, 31's, No pml, i can get coolant and a can for gas, just no where to put it... i guess i could wratchet strap in the cargo area.
greasemunky 09-02-2011, 07:54 PM if we go to where i was talking about, what you got is really all you need, its really small, theres a gas station just down the road, you wont even need to air down your tires. thats the only place i know of around here, its off of I-5 at exit 116, even a completely stock X can make it, 2WD will most likeely make it too. its just a place i go to relieve some stress. we can talk about it more when we all meet up on the 18th. but as far as the place i know of goes, nothing but you and your X is required
Mike
Tahuya is only an hour and some, away from the mall.
Tahua Trail Map (http://www.dnr.wa.gov/Publications/eng_tahuya_both.pdf)
I'm not too familiar with it but I'll ask some buddies about loops for stockers and modifieds. There are some parts of the 4x4 loop that are too tight for my liking.
Of course weather can make all the difference there. If its dry it's a cake walk for even the most on-road of tire, if its wet...
SeXterra2000 09-04-2011, 10:29 AM nice!!! that is fantastic! great research! I'll be more than willing to go to Tahuya!!!
SPZXterra 09-07-2011, 04:05 PM I'm going to be heading up on the 18th, if anyone wants to car pool or caravan with me from the Portland area PM me
mudlover55 09-10-2011, 09:39 AM ill be there with a brand new clutch... still havent decided if i want to wheel on a brand new clutch though

I will not be attending due to being deployed at the time, but definitely check in on the Facebook page, that seems to be where all the plans are announced more reliably. hope to be able to make the next one when i come back!!!!
