I do not currently have an xterra, but I'm in the market for one. I am the kind of person that has to know everything about my ride before I get it. I currently have a 2000 silver Ford Lighting, 1987 F150, and a 91 civic SI. My old ford started life as a 2wd and I converted it to 4wd with a dana 44 out of an older bronco. I am tired of working on junk and need a nice DD that can handle everything I can throw at it. I would like to know what you guys get, mpg, and the do's and dont's you think I need to know. I am a member of several lightning forums with a reputable name so don't think I'm just a BS'r. I am looking at a red 01 SE 4x4 with 105,000 miles on it around 7,500 what do you think? Thanks. Chip.

That isn't a bad deal on that '01 if the scheduled 105K maintenance has been done on it. Namely the timing belt. If they have changed the timing belt and the maintenance records look good then I say go for it.
