Ok so this one may be real dumb but I've been presented with the opportunity to buy a shrock for a pretty good price. The only problem is that it's on a 2000 and I have a 2004. I also have a 2" body lift. Does anyone know if I could just mount this bad boy up no problems or are there some significant differences between the gen 1 and gen 1.5 shrocks? Thanks!

The post says he has a calmini 3" body lift, I didn't think calmini made one of those. I wouldnt mind the gap, especially if it gets me a shrock for half price haha

Maybe I'm overthinking this but... you have a 2" BL, the bumper is for a 3" BL. Doesn't that mean you're 1" too short and the bumper won't fit? Or do I have that azzbackwards?

You're not overthinking at all, I'm assuming the CL guy meant a 3" sl, cause I can't find a calmini 3" BL. But yeah if I'm wrong then it won't fit; also shrock makes no mention of a 3" BL option for their bumpers, unless of course he called and told them thats what he has. Questions questions.

Badbet, it's for the 3 inch SL I already asked him, sorry shouldve told you that. But yea it will fit and I've actually seen people add more to the bumpers to raise them the 2 inches it will be down because of your body lift.

TJTJ a legend on this form and a extensive knowledge of X. He had the old Shrock bumper before body lifts, all he did was re-drilled the holes about 1.5" leaving a half inch gap.

First Gen are 00-04

first gens maybe be 2000-2004 all inclusive but the reason why shrockworks asks, is because they want to know how high to put that center bar. the 1.5 gen has the center bar a littler higher than the first first gen to follow the hood line. SO you will barely notice it and some actually prefer it. as for the body lift, if he doesn't already have the one for it, it isn't much of a production to get it to fit, a little drilling here, a little welding there, you have a perfectly good shrock bumper for a 2" BL. Just don't leave it the way it is right now, it looks stupid.

but that being said, get it.

Yeah, my concern though was that shrock has a dropdown menu got 2000-2002, 2003-2004 IIRC. Just wanted to make sure there wasnt any real big difference between the two. Thanks bro!

I agree the front is different however it still mounts the same.
Same frame that holds the bumper. Either case just get the bumper. :fan-big:

From what I have seen just the early shrock bumpers were not made with the 2" BL option.. As far as a 2000 vs 2002 style I dont know any reason there would be a issue.. They both have the same frame mounts.. The only issue would be the side lights.. 2000 has them built into the lights.. Gen 1.5 had them built into the side of the plastic..

Center loop on the 2002-2004 bumper is a tad taller. nothing big. get the bumper. i love mine.
