I noticed that my truck had a couple of stains in the paint when I was washing it today. Does anyone know how to rid of these, now that I noticed them they are driving me crazy!

Stains as in something has landed on the surface and stained the surface? Or are we talking about the paint itself having a color blemish?

If it's a surface stain, try rubbing it with a good light rubbing compound and buffing it.

That or kick it really hard. The dent will totally take the attention off of the stain. :mocking: (sorry dude... had to have a little fun with it... lol)

The paint itself has a blemish. Do you need a buffer with rubbing compound?

No, I do mine by hand. I use a buffing compound to take out the scratches in my paint from the trees on the trails.

Can you take a picture of the blemish?

I'll get a pic tomorrow, and give the rubbing compund a try. Thanks!

The hood on my '02 developed a bad case of crows feet that would have needed a paint job to fix.

Well, I seem to have misplaced/lost may camera so no pics for now. I did try the rubbing compound but it had no effect.

I've found that copius amounts of mud can cover any paint blemish. And it's cheap and easy to do. All you need is an x and some mud.:mocking:

Bummer man... I'm not sure what else to try aside from doing a small touch-up paint job on the area.
