Ricer-X 03-12-2008, 09:31 PM thats i good lookin X!
some friendly advice about your brush/grill guard, it's not really the best thing to have on your rig, ot kills your approach angle and will cause more damage to your rig than they prevent
what back spacing are those wheels, they make for a real nice stance
any future plans with it?
json3904 03-12-2008, 09:43 PM nice rig
Drake 03-12-2008, 09:59 PM Looks good man!
Tell us what you have planned for mods. And post up a few shots of that light bar. There's usually always somebody hunting for pics of light bars.
ATL4X4BROOKS 03-12-2008, 10:05 PM I do want to get a whole Calmini front bumper that is really what I want to do with it but I do not have the money yet. The backspacing on the rims is 4.5. I have heard that the front bars bend and hurt your pain and all that. I am gunna get the money soon hopefully. I really right now just want a 2 in BL so I can go with a bigger tire. And okay Drake I will put some picks up of the light bar. You were right this is a lot better
ATL4X4BROOKS 03-12-2008, 10:09 PM The light bar as requested by Drake:

Drake 03-12-2008, 10:12 PM For the BL, use the parts list James (Soccerbrace) created. It's a DIY 2" BL for about $65. I just did my BL a couple of weeks ago with the AC kit and had I not gotten it second hand for a good deal I would have been seriously pissed at how little of the kit I actually used. Not to mention their installation instructions will have you doing about 3 extra hours of work that really isn't necessary. Look in the DIY forum section.
If you're wanting to go with the Calmini bumper because of price then I say get the ARB instead. They are really close in price if I'm not mistaken. But if you're wanting a really solid one with good reviews, you'll hear the word SHROCKWORKS chanted vigorously by enthusiastic adoring fans. hahaha
As you read through these threads, you will hear some horror stories about Calmini's customer service and ship times. One thread I saw recently this guy said he waited 6 months on them to build his front bumper before he finally cancelled the order and went with Shrock.
ATL4X4BROOKS 03-12-2008, 10:23 PM O my yeah I have actually heard about Calmini taking so long. I will look at that body lift parts list actually and I will piece it together as best I can. I appreciate your help. Just a question is the BL durable and lasting thats all I need to know before I do it. I am exited to do some more work on my car the last time a couple months ago for the light bar. I think that you are right about Calmini they are over priced I just looked and ARB is a very good price.
Drake 03-12-2008, 10:49 PM I've not heard any issues with the BL's on xterras. A lot of people are skiddish about them I guess from stories of jeep owners whose body lift spacers actually punched through their bodies. The xterra has more body mounts and the spacers are much wider.
json3904 03-12-2008, 11:27 PM james has a bl thread that you can put together for under $60... and also go with shrockworks cause they are the only ones that have the option for a 2" BL.... tryto stay away from calmini if you can....
Drake 03-12-2008, 11:34 PM go with shrockworks cause they are the only ones that have the option for a 2" BL.... tryto stay away from calmini if you can....
That is a very good point I left out. I forgot none of the others compensate for a BL.
json3904 03-13-2008, 12:05 AM i know arb wont do it cause there from Australia and a BL is illegal there.... and did you buy your light bar from AC??????
nicholas112481 03-13-2008, 09:18 AM First of all welcome. I know from personal experience that Calmini takes forever to get your parts to you. 4x4parts.com is the way to go. You get your order in about 3 to 4 days always.
ATL4X4BROOKS 03-13-2008, 12:46 PM O yea i forgot about the body lift and how to compensate. Yes I did get the light bar from AC and its a pretty good light bar if you ask me I kind of wish the middle sat lower but it gets the job done. I will make sure that I go with Schrockworks thanks for the heads up.
OUMOOSE 03-13-2008, 01:02 PM I am on my 15th day waiting on my shackles from AC. But, no biggie. I just wanted you to know it can happen! The typical time is about 4-5 days from what I gather on here.
However, they are on the UPS truck in route to my house today!
Drake 03-13-2008, 01:10 PM However, they are on the UPS truck in route to my house today!
You're like a fat kid waiting on the ice cream truck aren't ya? :hilarious:
I get stoked everytime I hear the UPS truck coming down my street. I'm like Pavlov's dog now... even when I haven't ordered anything, I get excited when I hear it coming.
ATL4X4BROOKS 03-13-2008, 01:10 PM Nice get those on bro. Ya my light bar did take a while though I know how you feel. I just kind of got on their ass because I had already gotten my lights.
