i have been surfing the net for the best exhuast sound. and this is what i found.
is there anyway in hell to get the x sounding like this?? ha i know its a dumb question.
and has borla made anything for the x. i know they have some universal mufflers. has anyone tried them yet.

I know of 2 ways to get it to sound like that.
1) trade the X in for a Cobra and add the same exhaust.
2) Buy a Cobra motor and do HELLA fabricating to get it to fit in there and then run the same exhaust.

The only way to get that sound would be to drop a V-8 in your X!

It`s a custom system with a Flowmaster 40 muffler.The mechanic cut off the back 2 cats then built a Y pipe with equal length tubes.I think that has a lot to do with the sound.The muffler has [1] 2 1/2" pipe in and [2] 2" out pipes.
Try going to photobucket.com and search SHADOWSE to see some pictures.You`ll see some other mods I`ve done that add to the sound too.

Thanks.I live on Maui and Hawaii doesn`t do emisson checks.And no it doesn`t smell.I installed the TBS at the same time as the Volant CAI so it`s hard to tell if I got any real boost from it.But with the 2 combined I definitely got more power out of them.

I`m sure you`ll get more power getting rid of those cats,if you can get by with it where you live.I think the throttle body spacer I got on ebay is a lot more efficient than the Air Raid one and I think it was only $60.
