Well the drivers side hub seems to be clicking. I want to know if you can service(rebuild) or do I have to replace my auto hub? Any info on this topic would be a big help.

Jack up the front end, and wiggle the top and the bottom of the tire.

Im sure its not the ball joints, but it doesn't hurt to check.

I thought I read somewhere about a recall on the front hubs. Something about a seal leaking? Is there any fluid leaking?

No fluid leaks. It just clicks while engaged in 4wd, and not in 2wd. Its not loud, just a constant click.

Well, the good news is that you've identified the good one, yep, the one clicking is the one trying to engage because the other side is stuck.

How attached are you to the auto hubs? Because 1, they're expensive and 2, nothing in them is serviceable.

A set of Warn Premium selectable hubs will run about $200 (for a set!) or so. But they're getting hard to get hold of. Craigslist, eBay, or something of that sort may be a good resource to find them.

Well I wasn't getting at a tore up BJ, I was getting at a loose wheel bearing.

I think Allen has identified the problem though.

Allen, is this true for all auto hubs? Or just ours?

The auto hubs in the Hardbodies, Frontiers, Pathys, and Xterras are all pretty much all in the same boat. Expensive and not serviceable.

I didn't even bother waiting for something to break before putting Warn hubs in my old Hardbody. (Which reminds me, the hubs on that weren't stock. I contradict myself from my other thread.)

Though, I don't have any problem getting those hubs around here....

We're having trouble getting them from Warn. If you can get them now, maybe they produced some more. 6 months ago we had to get a set off of Craigslist for a customer!
