I have been reading the threads regarding the sway bar, and thought I'd take a look at mine.
It seems that on the 08 model, Nissan may have changes the shock configuration so the sway bar seems to clear the driver side shock with plenty of room. Also, I find it interesting that they have put a protecive plastic cover over the shock as well...Is this how the previous models have been?
What ya think?

i think you are cool just get some quick disconnects for the wheeling and you'd be good

Well what you are seeing on the "protctive plastic" is a shock boot. Bilstien's shock boots look like that for the front.
like these bastards;)

Nissan might have picked up on it a little bit because Bilstien obviously utilized that type of shock boot for the rear.
As far as the design, it looks like they flopped the shock, meaning, before, the shock was on the right side that caught the damage. Now the left shock is rear mounted and the right shock is front mounted. There is also more clearance there. This is good for the 2nd gens. Personally, if I owned a 2nd gen. I would probably toss my in the garbage after asking around a bit.

I've read that Nissan corrected the design flaw of the rear sway on the 2nd gens.
And my Bils on the rear have the same shock boot as well. I wanted the scrunchy ones dammit! hahaha
I still think when offroading, it would be good to ditch the rear sway anyways just to help with your articulation. Yeah getting three wheels in the air is cool but it ain't healthy. Coming from someone who has parked his X with only 3 wheels on the ground... :aufkopfhauen-big:

Thanks man but it's cool. I'm at a point where aesthetics of things underneath my X are going to be shortlived. hahaha
Now I believe I am going out for the night and praying for snow and then I'm getting my X nasty!!!! She's been clean for a whole week and I've finished my job interviews so it's "get dirty time"!
