#1 issue: My SES light came on and I took my 2002 Nissan Xterra to a local parts store and the computer provided the following data:
O2 sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heater Current Low
Can I remove and replace this O2 sensor on my own or do you recommend taking the truck to the dealership? If I can replace it, does anyone have a link that shows the picture of the location?

#2 Issue: The other SES computer data read:
Knock Sensor Circuit high input bank 1 sensor 1
Same questions above...is this something I could tackle and picture of the location...thanks!

Did someone ask for a diagram?????

:mocking:

So now you know where it is, try and locate it on the truck. If you think you can get the tools in there and reach it, then you can replace it yourself. Personally, I would do it myself. I haven't ever once taken a vehicle to a shop to be worked on however. If you do it yourself, make sure that you put some antiseize on the threads of the new one.

If there's a schematic, blueprint or a pre-schooler crayola project to be found, Pvfjr can find it. I'm telling you, he's like a diagram database... lol

Replacing the passenger's side front O2 sensor is very easy. I'd reccoment renting/purchasing an O2 sensor socket for the job though. Once you round that bad boy off, it's chisel time.
