I am having problems with interference on my cb radio. I have narrowed the problem down to the fuel pump. When the car is off the cb radio works fine but when I turn the car on the radio puts out a high pitch whine. To narrow down the source I turned the key to the on position but did not turn the motor over. I can hear the fuel pump run for a couple of seconds and when it runs the same high pitch noise comes out of the radio. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? thanks

Make sure that the radio has a good ground and try switching power sources. (use another circuit) You can also get a noise suppressor from a car audio place. You might try unhooking the ant at the radio to make sure that it's not coming from the ant or coax 1st. You may have a bad cable or an ant that is picking it up.
