i adjusted the colors and stuff to make it look like that

That's awesome. It's a great picture all around. I like the way the mud and water are thrown but there's no motion blur. Kudos, indeed.

I have one of me doing the same thing in my old Hardbody. It's not digital and I don't have a scanner, but it looks just like it.

If you have a good macro mode on your camera, and some GOOD lighting somewhere, you can take a photo of the photo with good results. I do that with documents a lot, and actually achieve BETTER results with my camera than I do with my scanner! The scanner really only gets used to deposit checks online now, it's been replaced for imaging purposes. Experiment with it a bit, we'd like to see your pic!
